Changes to SAHRIS!
The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:
- A new & modernised look and layout
- Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
- Improved site performance and stability
Launch for the new version of SAHRIS occurred on Monday the 30th of October 2023.

Motivating Statement for registration:
Conservation, Preservation and Promotion of The Owl House as a unique National Heritage Site, Ensure that the economic importance of this iconic cultural tourism destination is fully appreciated locally, region ally and nationally. With on average 15000 visitors per annum, this translates into direct and indirect job opportunities for approx. 2 000 people in the village and region. Position the Owl House as a significant 'outsider art' installation in the international network of sites.
