Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

Following comments received on the proposed Revised Schedule of Fees for applications made to the South African Heritage Resources Agency (SAHRA), made in terms of Section 25(2)(l) of the National Heritage Resources Act No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) and published in the Government Gazette of 22 July 2022, SAHRA hereby publishes the final Revised Schedule of Fees for Applications made to SAHRA. Applications for provision of services submitted to the South African Heritage Resources Authority (SAHRA), in terms of the National Heritage Resources Act, No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) must be accompanied by a payment of the appropriate fee, taking effect from 1 January 2023

The Alfred Duma Local Municipality has, through its IDP process, and extensive consultation with respective beneficiary communities residing within the Alfred Duma Local Municipality, identified the need to provide subsidised housing in its area of jurisdiction. This process was initiated as a means to address the municipality’s housing need and in doing so improve the living conditions and quality of life of its communities. As such, the St. Chads Subsidised Housing Development was proposed to assist the Municipality in addressing its housing demand, which is located at RE 1185 Modder Spruit in Wards 27 and 7 of the Alfred Duma Local Municipality. The project area has a total extent of approximately 186.15 hectares and is situated on a portion of Wards 27 and 7 of the Alfred Duma Local Municipality. The site area is located approximately 10 km southeast of Ladysmith and north of the Ezakheni Township.
